Concussion Training

The State of Ohio requires referees to complete an online concussion training every 3 years. If you submitted a completion certificate in the previous 2 years, it is not required for the current year.

To complete a certificate please complete the NFHS Concussion in Sports course.

• Select Ohio as your state, then order the course.

• If you do not have an account, you will need to register for one.

• You will be given the opportunity to print the certificate upon completion.

It is recommended that the certificate be saved to a .pdf file and then printed from the .pdf file. A copy of the completion certificate must be submitted on the day of class.

If you are 18+ years old, you will need to complete the Ohio Soccer Association's Risk Management program for all adults (players, coaches, referees, and more) which includes SafeSport Training, Lindsey's Law Training, Concussion Training, and a Background Check.
